Utrecht, 12 October 2023 - This year's 58th edition of Kampeer & Caravan Jaarbeurs attracted 5 per cent more visitors than last year. With over 40,000 visitors, the largest camping event in the Netherlands finished very successfully. This year there was a special focus on sustainability and innovations. The event exceeded the expectations of both exhibitors and visitors. The organisation of Kampeer & Caravan Jaarbeurs also looks back with satisfaction. Rachel Jankowsky: "Campers find sustainability an increasingly important factor when planning their holidays. We continuously respond to this need on the exhibition floor. This edition, for example, we inspired visitors with a specially designed sustainability route with suppliers of, among other things, lightweight caravans for behind electric cars and accessories made from recycled or biodegradable parts."
Tens of thousands of visitors enjoyed innovations
Camping & Caravan Jaarbeurs was entirely dedicated to sustainability and innovations this year. Leo Diepemaat, chairman of the sector association KCI (Camping & Caravan Industry) and co-organiser of the fair: "It was a successful camping event with a very wide range on offer. From tents to luxury motorhomes, workshops, accessories and destinations. And all in a wonderful holiday atmosphere, with enthusiastic and satisfied visitors and exhibitors." One of the visitors shared with the fair organisers, "You are still surprised by new things. It's not just big white caravans, but there really is a lot of variety in the offer."
A wide range for young and old
Earlier this week, it was announced that caravan and motorhome ownership among young target groups has risen sharply faster than in other age groups since corona broke out. Rachel Jankowsky: "What was striking was that many younger campers visited the fair, especially at the weekend." Thus, exhibitor Knaus Tabbert AG says: "As an exhibitor, we naturally do not want to miss the Camping and Caravan Jaarbeurs, because here we really have the opportunity to present our beautiful products to the public. We reach a variety of customers here, from young to old." Exhibitor Trigano Accessory Group also looks back with satisfaction: "It is of course the ideal place to show here all the products we have developed to consumers and to feel the first reactions."
