Utrecht, 20 January 2023 - Building Holland 2023 will take place on 8 and 9 November at Royal Dutch Jaarbeurs in Utrecht. With missions, knowledge sessions and innovation show cases, the two-day event focuses on accelerating the sustainability of the built environment. Three key societal issues take centre stage: Energy Transition, Circularity and Health.

Encouraging integral collaborations and accelerating innovation are the focus of the two days of the fair. "Together with our knowledge partners and ambassadors, we bring together a diversity of chain partners," says Esmeralda van Milgen of Acquire. This media and event company has fully taken over Building Holland in November 2022. Van Milgen continues: "We provide mutual knowledge sharing on current sustainability themes, such as building within the CO2 budget, making real estate healthy and accelerating the heat transition."

Action- and result-oriented
"Many interesting organisations and companies will have a place as exhibitors at the fair. Action- and result-oriented activities, such as roundtable discussions and working sessions, will also take place on various stages. Here, visitors can take up the gauntlet to make an impact around issues such as circular construction, climate adaptation and renovation," Van Milgen continues. "On the innovation boulevard, startups and scale-ups, among others, display a broad showcase of innovations."

Driving sustainability
The location for the event is an important prerequisite for the concept to succeed. "Royal Jaarbeurs offers an inspiring space in the centre of the country to drive this acceleration in integral collaboration and sustainability," said Van Milgen. "Not for nothing did they win two international awards last year: the Sustainability Award 2022 and the Digital Innovation Award 2022." Jeroen van Hooff, CEO Royal Jaarbeurs adds: "We are continuously taking steps to be Europe's most sustainable and innovative event venue and organiser by 2030. These objectives fit seamlessly with Building Holland's philosophy of innovating and excelling in sustainability and collaboration. Within Jaarbeurs, we are building sustainable brands in the fields of construction and installation, among others. We want to be the 'destination' for construction and installation professionals, both live and online."
