Royal Jaarbeurs Utrecht will be the start location of the first stage of the team time trial during La Vuelta Holanda 2022 on Friday 19 August.
This is not the first time that one of the world's biggest cycling events has started at Jaarbeurs. In 2015, the Tour de France departed from the same location. With this experience, Jaarbeurs knows better than anyone else what is involved in such an international event. Jaarbeurs is located in the heart of the city of Utrecht. We are very happy to contribute to putting the city on the international map by organising this kind of major sporting event." As a partner of La Vuelta Holanda, Jaarbeurs is also facilitating the international press centre, The Village Départ and VIP hospitality for the first stage.

Sustainable start location La Vuelta 2022
Both La Vuelta Holanda and Jaarbeurs are committed to sustainability. For example, La Vuelta Holanda is organising a Green Caravan as the very first cycling event in the world. This caravan drives in front of the cycling peloton and consists of sustainable vehicles with a sustainable message. This is in line with Jaarbeurs 's goal of becoming the most sustainable event and conference venue in Europe. La Vuelta Holanda
La Vuelta will start in the Netherlands this year. The organisation is an initiative of the provinces of Utrecht and Noord-Brabant and the cities of Breda, 's-Hertogenbosch and Utrecht. There will be three stages in August. The first stage, on Friday 19 August, is a team time trial around Jaarbeurs in Utrecht. The second stage leads from 's-Hertogenbosch to the Utrecht Science Park on Saturday 20 August. The third stage, on Sunday 21 August, has the start and finish in Breda
