The School & Safety Foundation organizes the Genderwijs education conference for all education professionals working in primary, secondary and secondary vocational education.
In this first edition we will discuss education in which the view of boys and girls consciously plays a role. How do you approach your students? The exchange of practical experiences is central to this conference. Do boys and girls need a different approach or not? Participants are explicitly requested to share their vision.
The recommendations emerging from this conference are presented to the Minister of Education, Culture and Science, Ingrid van Engelshoven.
A varied program with Dr. Mieke van Houtte as keynote speaker, a student panel and the theater group MATROSE that brings stories from the classroom to life. Jan Jaap Hubeek, as chairman of the day, provides the necessary interaction with the audience. Of course there is plenty of room to network and make contacts with colleagues. Together you will look for an answer to the question: What is Genderwise?
During the conference you can follow two workshops. You are introduced to practical tools, methods and materials that you can use at school the next day. You also get a lot of background information and the exchange of experiences with colleagues is central.
