Organising a coronaproof event - how do you do it?

Corona has turned the world of events upside down. Fortunately, we have spotted opportunities and a lot is still possible even in a one-and-a-half-meter society. But: safety first!

While organising an event at 1.5 metres, several aspects that you may not have considered much before as an organiser need to be taken into account, all with safety in mind, to ensure that your event is coronaproof.

For instance, no platters of sandwiches can be served at lunch for a while, but everything will have to be packed, the capacity of your preferred location is (currently) halved and the route is signposted by walking lines.

Tips for organising a coronaproof live event

To make sure you have thought of everything, we have listed the tips for organising a safe, coronaproof live event for you:

1. Health check ensure that every visitor checks in no more than 24 hours before an event.
2. Communicate make sure visitors are aware of all measures.
3. Air circulation must comply with RIVM requirements. Always check this with the venue.
4. Dust masks are mandatory in shared indoor areas. Tip: keep extra face masks on hand when people ask for them.
5. Cleaning make it visible that hygiene is paramount and repeat this regularly.
6. Walking lines the route is indicated via the walking lines, this helps visitors keep the 1.5-metre distance.
7. Hotspots there are always risk areas where many people congregate, such as the cloakroom and toilet. Think out possible scenarios and capitalise on them - for example, you can email when the weather is nice asking people to leave their coats at home.
