Utrecht, 16 December 2024 - Europe's first human-robot will open the new Travel & Tech trade event on Wednesday 8 January 2025. Travel & Tech, organised by Royal Jaarbeurs, aims to inspire the travel industry in the field of digital transformation in the travel industry. Marleen Rompen, exhibition manager: "As digitalisation and innovation continue to reshape the travel industry, it is crucial to stay ahead to ensure safer, more efficient and sustainable travel. Our mission is to connect experts and professionals determined to innovate the way we travel." Travel & Tech will take place during the Vakantiebeurs and will take place on Wednesday 8 and Thursday 9 January 2025 at Royal Jaarbeurs.
Joint look into the future of the travel industry
Travel & Tech offers a joint look into the future of the travel industry with a full programme featuring subject matter experts, including a special startup zone focusing on innovation in the travel industry. The trade event promises to be the meeting place for travel professionals to explore the latest trends and innovations in digitalisation. Themes such as digital transformation, marketing automation, artificial intelligence (AI), virtual & augmented reality (VR & AR) and cybersecurity take centre stage at the first edition. Marleen Rompen: "The playing field of the travel industry is in full swing. Both in terms of technology, e-commerce and marketing. Travel organisations need to think more and more about using smart data and software. Developments to which we, as trade fair organisers, want and need to respond adequately."
International travel experts on digital transformation
During the first edition of Travel & Tech, international experts take the stage. Travel professionals from all over the Netherlands come together to gain knowledge and discuss the latest digital trends and challenges in the industry. Some of the speakers: Clare Jones, CEO Polarsteps, shares her insights on how technological advances are enabling independent travellers to plan complex journeys with ease. "With all the technological advances of late - not just in AI - technology is becoming increasingly important in travel. Travel & Tech provides a platform for conversations about travel technology, trends and strategies. I look forward to spending time with such an inspiring group of people as we think together about the future of travel," said Clare Jones. Remy Gieling, AI expert, will discuss how AI is revolutionising the travel industry. Director of cyber security at NS, Dimitri van Zantvliet, elaborates on cyber threats facing the travel sector. Marleen Rompen: "We are enormously proud to be turning out a packed programme for this first edition. I look forward to taking the travel industry a step further in knowledge sharing about digital transformation."
