Based in Bilthoven and Utrecht, among other places, the Helen Dowling Institute provides psychological care to some 2,300 people with cancer and their loved ones every year. To continuously improve their care, the institute is a charity and organises various benefit events. Like the benefit gala that attracts some 200 to 250 guests every year. From loyal supporters to new relations. The evening is all about culinary enjoyment, dazzling performances and raising money together so that people, and their loved ones, get the best care when they are stuck by cancer.

"After drinks in the adjoining foyer, guests step straight into the hall. With the lighting, you always give the hall a completely different experience. This is ideal, because one moment a cancer patient is on stage telling his or her story and the next Emma Heesters is building a party. Combined with its central location in the middle of the country and ample parking space, this is a venue you would like to return to more often. Especially also because it is nice working together with the staff," says event manager Laura Jansen.
