Utrecht, 30 January 2025 - The 32nd edition of the National Education Exhibition (NOT) at Royal Jaarbeurs was a great success. Last week, nearly 25,000 education and childcare professionals came together to discover trends and developments within the education sector. With more than 300 exhibitors, organiser Jaarbeurs looks back on a successful edition with satisfaction. Audrey Wilschut, fair manager: "We proudly look back at the opening with Her Majesty Queen Máxima, in which she emphasised the importance of mental health among young people. Other special highlights were the many inspiring keynotes on the NOT Mainstage and the presentation of the 'Ambassador of Education 2025' award to Jasper Rijpma."
The meeting place for educational Netherlands
The exhibition floor focused on themes such as AI, diversity and equal opportunities, mental well-being, job satisfaction, citizenship, craftsmanship and technological innovations. Audrey Wilschut: "The strength of the NOT lies in the inspiring conversations that arise here, the knowledge and ideas that are exchanged and the innovative solutions that are shown for the challenges of today and tomorrow." Henk Hagoort, chairman VO-raad: "During the official opening of NOT 2025, I had the honour of taking part in a panel discussion in the presence of Queen Máxima. We spoke with representatives of the PO Council, VO Council, the Executive Board of the Gooische Scholen Federatie and the president of Teachers of the Year about the important theme of mental well-being among young people. I am proud of the inspiration I got together with my colleagues over the past few days and the many education and childcare professionals I met. It is and will continue to be the meeting place for educating the Netherlands."
NOT dedicated to knowledge and development: 'core business' of education
Exhibitors also look back on NOT with enthusiasm. Thijs Roovers, chairman of the Algemene Onderwijsbond (Aob): "We are always at NOT because we find it important to engage with our education colleagues. The NOT is an inspiring meeting place for us." Freddy Weima, chairman PO-raad: "Good education and childcare are crucial for our society, now and in the future. During the NOT 2025, I saw how education professionals went home full of inspiration. It is good that the NOT pays a lot of attention to knowledge and development. After all, that is the 'core business' of education."
In two years' time, the National Education Exhibition will return to Royal Jaarbeurs from 19 to 23 January 2027.
