In May 2023, the Utrecht Congress Alliance was established, a collaboration between parties including the municipality and province of Utrecht, Utrecht Marketing, Utrecht University, Utrecht hoteliers and Jaarbeurs. This alliance joins forces to attract international congresses to the city in line with the positioning 'Utrecht, Heart of Health'. Some examples of recent successful congresses include the WHO European Healthy Cities Network congress and the Future Green City World Congress. In May 2025, we will open our doors for the International Forum on Quality and Safety in Healthcare, bringing together healthcare professionals from all over the world.
