Royal Jaarbeurs and Utrecht Marketing are extending their strategic agreement for a period of three years. The agreement provides for a partnership with different principles. For instance, Utrecht Marketing involves Jaarbeurs in the city's so-called agenda 'Healthy urban living for all', both organisations seek closer cooperation when it comes to important developments in the city and region, and both parties draw closer together to organise joint activities.
Healthy urban living for all
Effective immediately, Utrecht Marketing and Jaarbeurs are pulling closer together to further position the city as the city for events and conferences. Heiko M. Stutzinger, Chief Operating Officer Jaarbeurs: "We are looking forward to the intensified cooperation with Utrecht Marketing. By signing this agreement, we join forces and can jointly create a stronger Utrecht brand. An attractive city for visitors, residents and businesses alike. In addition, we are pleased that Utrecht Marketing supports us as the most sustainable and smart venue in the (inter)national market."
Promoting city and region
Utrecht Marketing and Jaarbeurs work closely together when it comes to (inter)national promotion of Jaarbeurs as a conference and event location. Cor Jansen, director of Utrecht Marketing: "As Utrecht Marketing, we do nothing without partners and I am proud that Jaarbeurs and Utrecht Marketing are joining forces. Jaarbeurs is inextricably linked to Utrecht and a leading player in the field of events and conferences. I look forward to raising the profile of the city and region together and supporting each other's ambitions.
Working together on activities for and by the city
Utrecht Marketing and Jaarbeurs make a joint effort to stimulate multi-day visits to the city. In addition, the organisations actively cooperate in the acquisition of large (inter)national congresses. Utrecht Marketing and Jaarbeurs do this among other things by attending various international relation events aimed at congress organisers and meeting planners. For example, at the last international congress, M&I Europe Autumn Forum 2022 in Portugal, the organisations won the award for Runner up Leading Sales Professional. Heiko M. Stutzinger: "It is a great opportunity for both Utrecht Marketing and Jaarbeurs to work together more intensively and thus put the city of Utrecht more on the map. We both have a solid network and can only make each other even stronger."
