Participants could apply in the categories Most sustainable innovative camper product and Most sustainable innovative camping product The entries ranged from the smallest camper parts to comfort-enhancing products. By presenting the KCJ Sustainability Award, Jaarbeurs hoped to encourage its partners to drive and accelerate sustainability.
The expert jury makes a shortlist after which the public can also vote for their favourite product. The 2022 winners are both from Dutch soil. In the auditorium of Jaarbeurs, the winners accepted their prizes during the Beter op Kampeerreis congress on the first day of the fair.

The winner of the most sustainable campervan product is Ventje, a Dutch start-up of young enthusiastic campervans. They provide their campervans with a completely sustainable interior using FSC-certified wood and sheep's wool.

The most sustainable camping product comes from Karsten Tents. They received the award for their Blueline tents. The tents are produced in their own energy-neutral workshop. With their sustainable tent cloth, they save 50,000 litres of water per tent and the cutting waste from the groundsheet is reused. Because production takes place in the Netherlands and Belgium, a lot of CO2 emissions are saved on transport.
