Utrecht, 6 October 2023 - Royal Dutch Jaarbeurs is joining forces with its Support fair, the fair that offers unlimited opportunities for people with movement limitations, to organise the VeineDAGEN. The aim is to jointly create the biggest event for people with disabilities, for young and old. The event will continue under the name VeineDAGEN and will take place during the Dutch Health Week in Koninklijke Jaarbeurs from Thursday 11 to Saturday 13 April 2024. Renée Ruisch and Mariëlle Franken, initiators of VeineDAGEN: "We are happy to join forces. Together, we make more impact for children and adults with disabilities. With an annual event, we can inform, inspire and facilitate meetings and great conversations. As far as we are concerned, we are going to make it a great party!"

Event for young and old with disabilities
Jaarbeurs has organised the Support fair on behalf of Firevaned, the industry association of assistive devices, for 20 years. The cooperation with the industry association remains, but in addition to aids, the fair will also offer information in other lifestyle areas such as sports, holidays, therapies and contacts. Ruisch: "At the VeineDAGEN, we focused on parents and professionals of children and young people with physical and/or intellectual disabilities. We are proud to bring Support's knowledge to the organisation of the VeineDAGEN 2024 for young and old."

Although the target audience is broadening, the event will otherwise have the same format as the current VeineDAGEN. Franken: "This means we will provide affordable stand space for exhibitors, a strong content programme and free entry for visitors."

VeineDAGEN part of Dutch Health WeekTheVeineDAGEN will be part of the Dutch Health Week from 2024. For a week during the Dutch Health Week, Utrecht will be the place where thousands of healthcare professionals participate in various healthcare events. The Dutch Health Week is an initiative of Jaarbeurs, which works closely together with the city of Utrecht, Utrecht Marketing, ROM Utrecht Region, Traiectum Sportcampus, FC Utrecht and numerous other parties. This makes the Dutch Health Week the largest healthcare event in the Netherlands.
