Utrecht, 18 July 2024 - Royal Jaarbeurs is taking over IPON, the education trade fair with a focus on educational technology, from Reshift Digital. This trade fair has been the meeting platform for primary education (PO), secondary education (VO) and MBO for more than 15 years. Besides the trade fair, Jaarbeurs also acquires the official education innovation and ICT knowledge platform IPON.nl, enabling Jaarbeurs to serve more than 20,000 education professionals 365 days a year. Jaarbeurs, organiser of the National Education Exhibition (NOT) since 1965, thus expands its education portfolio in the Netherlands. The NOT is the largest trade fair for professionals in childcare, out-of-school care, primary and secondary education.

Education innovation and ICT more topical than ever
The trade fair IPON has been the event in the field of educational innovation, innovation and educational technology (EdTech) for more than 14 years. The aim of IPON is to present the use of the latest applications within education in an innovative and creative way. Herman Mantel, CCO Royal Jaarbeurs: "We are proud to announce the acquisition of the trade fair IPON and knowledge platform IPON.nl. A strategic expansion that strengthens our education portfolio. The acquisition marks an important milestone and fits well with our wishes to highlight the EdTech side of education alongside NOT. With IPON.nl, we also offer the online knowledge platform through which we support and inspire education professionals 365 days a year; white papers, cases, webinars, articles, reviews and exchange of experiences form the basis. This helps to further accelerate the digital transformation of education in the Netherlands."

Building a new online future
The sale of IPON is an important step for Reshift Digital. Paul Molenaar, CEO and co-owner of Reshift: "We are super happy to have expanded IPON in recent years to become the trade fair for educational innovation and professionalisation. The takeover of IPON by Jaarbeurs offers huge opportunities. We are therefore confident that Jaarbeurs will further strengthen and expand the brand."
