A logical choice to encourage travelling by ov transport is a big part of the environmental impact of an event. In that respect, choosing the Jaarbeurs as a venue is an immediate climate hit: its central location, right next to Utrecht Central Station, makes public transport an easy and logical choice for the majority of visitors.

The Jaarbeurs is located next to Utrecht Central Station, the central hub in the Netherlands when it comes to public transport. This makes the train and (regional) bus the most logical means of transport for many visitors to get to an event, meeting or conference at the Jaarbeurs. Extra sustainable plus point: NS trains run on 100% green electricity.

For our own fairs and events, we have had a successful cooperation with the Dutch Railways for years: visitors can buy a low-cost combination ticket in the NS Spoordeelwinkel for train and admission to, among others, De Vakantiebeurs, KreaDoe, the MOTORbeurs and the Kampeer en Caravan Jaarbeurs.

We work with local suppliers as much as possible, and they combine their deliveries to the Jaarbeurs whenever possible. One of our logistics partners, CityHub, has a depot on the outskirts of Utrecht and transports orders to the Jaarbeurs, Rabobank and NS in one go. This is efficient, saves transport kilometres and is virtually CO2 neutral, because CityHub drives compact (electric) delivery vans.

  • A new mobility policy has been introduced for our employees.
