Our mission

We believe there should be a place where you can really meet. Meet to grow. As Royal Jaarbeurs, we offer and create the space to accelerate growth: as people, as an organisation, as a market. In a sustainable, customer-friendly and innovative way. Live and online. In the centre of the country, in the heart of the city, with an eye for you.

Our vision

We will become the most sustainable and innovative organiser and facilitator of trade fairs, events and conferences in Europe. An indispensable link in the Dutch economy. We organise and facilitate knowledge development, inspiration, entertainment, dealmaking and meetings.

Our brand pillars

Friendly
We want to create valuable encounters for our visitors and customers. In every step we take, we want to exceed expectations and maximise the service we offer. We do this with personal attention and empathy, by offering smart solutions and being flexible.

Sustainable
We believe in a world where we treat each other and our environment with care. And we take responsibility for that. Both regarding our social goals, towards our people and towards the world we live in. Climate change is one of the most pressing issues in the world today and we are determined to do our part. We reduce our impact on the earth by reusing raw materials and reducing waste. We fight against food waste, there is no more room for disposable plastic and we generate our own green energy. We walk, cycle and take the train. We also choose to operate sustainably in our business. In all the industries we operate in, we drive sustainability and help accelerate sustainability. Both in the catering assortment and in programming and for sourcing sustainable materials.

Innovative
We aim to be Europe's most innovative and sustainable event venue and organiser. We are experts in organising and facilitating trade fairs and events. We have been doing this for more than 100 years. By combining our experience and knowledge with the latest digital technologies, we make our events even more valuable, improve our operations and develop new products and services.

To achieve our ambition, Jaarbeurs observes the following rules:

  • We actively keep abreast of CSR developments within our profession and make an active contribution to transferring our knowledge about it to employees and others who want to learn the trade.
  • We inform our guests, employees, visitors and suppliers how we operate in a socially responsible manner.
  • We make transparent agreements with stakeholders about the quality of our product and how we monitor quality.
  • Besides the financial impact, we also determine the social and environmental impact of our product and limit any negative impact of this as much as possible.
  • We voluntarily contribute to social causes through donations, sponsorships and/or volunteering.
  • Wherever possible, we try to inform and facilitate our guests and customers in reducing their environmental impact.
  • We continuously work to reduce our environmental impact and increase the sustainable nature of our business. By actively striving to reduce waste streams and our consumption of gas, water, electricity and fossil fuels.
  • We work continuously to improve our own procurement process and focus in particular on goods and services that are sustainable, preferably carrying a recognised environmental and/or sustainability and/or social label.
