The organisers of the 52nd edition of the Holiday Fair at Royal Jaarbeurs look back on a successful event. Reactions from both visitors and exhibitors were laudatory. "We had the largest stand ever at the Vakantiebeurs this edition. The Corendon Club House was crowded all days by enthusiastic potential customers and many of our partners and relations. We therefore look back on a successful fair." Says Tessa Hoogduin- Meerman of Corendon. Another positive sound comes from Amanda Krans-Schouten, Marketing Manager at Holland America Line: "Many qualitative visitors, they know much more specifically what they want and are looking for in a holiday, surprisingly the desire for far-away destinations such as Asia and the Caribbean in contrast to previous years."
Marleen Rompen: "The Vakantiebeurs took place in five exhibition halls this year. A great result after many uncertain times in the travel industry, and so we are very satisfied with a visitor number of over 65,000. Despite having one less exhibition hall than the previous edition, the number of visitors per square metre remained the same. We heard from many exhibitors that their stands were well attended and many trips were booked. Visitors were interested and purposefully looking for travel inspiration. We received many positive comments from visitors about the various activities such as indoor surfing, the dive tank and the world dishes that people could taste. I echo the words of Joeri Baczkowski, event manager at TUI: "How nice it was to once again have visitors dreaming away about their next holiday."
On 11 January, Royal Jaarbeurs welcomed nearly 8,000 travel professionals during the Vakantiebeurs Vakdag! As always, the Vakantiebeurs consumer days Vakdag took place. The networking event in the travel industry where knowledge sharing, inspiration and meeting each other live again was central. The various theatres on the exhibition floor hosted interesting and high-quality sessions on, among other things, the latest travel trends.
Holiday Fair 2024 will take place from Wednesday 10 to Sunday 14 January 2024 at Royal Jaarbeurs.
