An impactful experience
Every meeting has time and space for better choices. We therefore like to start the conversation about sustainability. We do so, for instance, by inspiring visitors with keynotes on sustainable topics. And by facilitating more and more events with a sustainability theme. Or by literally mapping out sustainability routes for visitors to follow. Moreover, we encourage partners, customers and organisers to make different choices. Healthier choices. Greener ones. Choices that are better for tomorrow.
Sustainability committed
To encourage each other to do better, we came up with the Sustainability Plegde. This is a pledge we sign together to take responsibility for our impact. With the pledge, we and our exhibitors promise to make an effort to organise trade fairs as sustainably as possible. For example by using reusable materials. Or separating waste. And paying attention to diversity and inclusion. This is how we encourage ourselves and others to make impactful choices in the future.
Transition dinner
The built environment accounts for almost 40 per cent of energy consumption and almost a third of CO2 emissions in the Netherlands. To implement change in this sector, different parties need to work together. That is why we bring together CEOs and decision-makers in the construction, real estate and installation sector at the transition dinner in Jaarbeurs. Here, we will discuss how to drive and accelerate sustainability in the sector. A dinner that tastes like more.
Awards
Sometimes a nudge in the right direction is just what you need. By presenting awards, we put sustainable initiatives in the spotlight. For example, with awards for innovative products, circular concepts or the best CO2 reduction. With an award, we appreciate companies that want to make a difference. And what's more: it stimulates others and encourages them to be sustainable too.
Sustainability routes
At every (trade) fair you will find innovative and sustainable initiatives. Of course, that deserves extra attention. That is why we devised the sustainability routes. These are special walking routes for visitors to discover these sustainable initiatives. The Camping & Caravan Jaarbeurs, for example, has a route with the most sustainable camping products. At KreaDoe, people can tinker with vintage materials and the Vakantiebeurs has a route with the most sustainable trips.
