Applicability
This privacy statement applies to all processing of personal data by or on behalf of Jaarbeurs and its European affiliates.
Handling of your personal data
Jaarbeurs values your privacy and will handle your personal data as carefully and securely as possible. In doing so, Jaarbeurs will comply with the privacy regulations.
Jaarbeurs records personal data in connection with the provision of its services. For example when you participate in an exhibition or conference, subscribe to one of our newsletters, have your badge scanned during an exhibition visit, download whitepapers, register your interest or have contact with Jaarbeurs in any other way. This may be personal data, but also data used by us to make analyses about the use of our websites, such as the number of times our websites are visited and which pages are viewed.
Layout privacy statement
In this privacy statement, we indicate what personal data we may process from you. What personal data that is depends on which services you use and what data you leave on our websites. For example, we will process different personal data from our visitors of physical or online services than from our (potential) exhibitors or (potential) tenants of Jaarbeurs locations.
To inform you as well as possible, we have made a distinction between the processing of personal data for a number of specific services of Jaarbeurs and the use of our websites and social media channels. In this section you will find general information about the processing of your personal data that applies to all these services and to the processing of personal data through our websites and social media channels. Below you will find a number of links. By clicking on a link you can read which personal data Jaarbeurs processes for that specific service or processing and why:
Applicants
For job applicants we have a separate job site with a separate privacy statement. In the privacy statement for job applicants on the website werkenbij.jaarbeurs.nl you can read how Jaarbeurs handles your personal data when you leave your personal data there.
Basis for processing
Jaarbeurs uses the personal data mentioned under the buttons, among other things, for the execution and handling of an agreement. For example, the agreement with you as a visitor or exhibitor of a fair or event. Or the agreement to rent a meeting room or parking space. Jaarbeurs may also have a legal obligation to process your personal data, such as tax obligations.
Jaarbeurs may also use your personal data because Jaarbeurs has legitimate business interests to do so. These interests include providing a good service, the security of buildings and systems, efficient internal operations, generating income, protecting financial interests and keeping customers informed about (new) products and services of Jaarbeurs.
If Jaarbeurs processes personal data based on your consent, Jaarbeurs will ask you separately. You may withdraw consent at any time, but the data processed up to the time of withdrawal will continue to be processed lawfully.
Transfer outside the EU
Your personal data may be transferred to countries outside the EU in the context of organising international fairs and events. In doing so, these countries may not have the same level of protection as within Europe, including the United States. In that case Jaarbeurs will take appropriate guarantees.
In addition, personal data may be processed outside the EU because certain service providers of Jaarbeurs are based in a country outside the EU, such as Microsoft. Your data may also be stored by third parties outside the EU due to the use of Google Analytics, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn services. To ensure that personal data processed outside the EU maintains an equivalent level of protection, we take necessary and appropriate measures.

Jaarbeurs uses cookies for an optimal website experience, to analyse the use of our websites to enable sharing of social media content and to show targeted advertisements (if applicable). More information about our use of cookies can be found in our cookie policy.
Profiling
Jaarbeurs will combine the information collected on its websites and through other sources to provide you with the best (online) experience and service. Jaarbeurs may send information tailored to your personal preferences with your consent. Those preferences are derived from the data you have left behind and/or combined with your clicking behaviour on our websites.
Retention periods
Jaarbeurs will not retain your personal data for longer than is necessary for the purposes of processing mentioned above. This means that your personal data are kept for as long as they are necessary to achieve the purposes in question.
We do need to keep certain personal data for longer because Jaarbeurs has to comply with legal retention obligations, such as the tax retention obligation.
Security
Jaarbeurs has obviously taken security measures to protect your personal data from loss or unauthorised access.
