On Friday the 15th of March, the National Autism Congress (NAC) will take place again, this time in Utrecht. The NAC traditionally has a scientific focus and serves as continuing education for professionals (with accreditation). This year, we were once again able to invite leading experts in autism research and treatment from both+ home and abroad.
Our plenary speakers this year will include Professor Liz Pellicao, who will speak on 'Autistic flourishing', and Professor Jason Arday, who will talk about 'Autism, race and social inequalities'. The working language for these speakers will be English. In addition, we offer a parallel programme of lectures based on experiential knowledge, including presentations by Irene Nass on 'Autism and work' and Marije Pietersma on 'Psychosomatic complaints in women with autism'.
There will also be workshops given by experts such as Dr Shalini Soechitram on 'Autism and sleep', Wikke van der Putten on 'Camouflaging in autism', and Dr Richard Vuijk on 'Schematherapy in autism'. In addition, there will be poster presentations, with a prize for the best poster.
We expect another inspiring day. Will you also come to our congress?
