JINC baas van morgen

JINC

JINC has been a partner of Royal Jaarbeurs since 2014. JINC is committed to tackling inequality of opportunity and specifically targets children and young people from neighbourhoods with socio-economic disadvantages with numerous projects. Extra lessons and guidance or day trips to special places ensure that young people's world and vocabulary are expanded.

The beginning
In 2003, Daniël Roos founded JINC, then still operating under the name Campus Nieuw-West from Amsterdam. In the first year they helped some 1,400 young people, last year there were over 63,000. JINC fights for a society where your background does not determine your future and every child gets a chance. After all, everyone has talents, including children growing up in an environment of high unemployment and fewer role models.

Partners
Indispensable to JINC are its partners. To continue offering opportunities to young people, JINC relies on the financial support and expertise of its partners. Over 850 companies annually make it possible for JINC to help young people broaden their horizons. JINC offers 9 projects for children aged eight to 16. Jaarbeurs is committed to two of these projects, JINC Boss of Tomorrow and the JINC Lightning Internship. Jaarbeurs has been a partner of JINC since 2013, important reasons being that Jaarbeurs likes to contribute locally and also considers education very important.

JINC Boss of Future
During JINC Boss of the Future, young people get to sit in the chair of a CEO, director or politician for a day. This year, Boss of Tomorrow Laura walked with CEO Jeroen van Hooff.
The outcome of such a day is immensely valuable mainly for the student. Besides a boost in self-confidence, students often find that the business world is more accessible to them than they had thought. In addition, the apprentice leaves the building with a promise card in his pocket; the 'real' boss is there for them with support or advice. In 2023, the focus of Boss of Tomorrow is on diversity and inclusion. The aim is to have the conversation in the business world about equity in the labour market.

JINC Internship
The JINC Internship is aimed at primary and secondary school pupils so that they can discover what sectors and professions exist. This prepares them to make a good choice for further education.
Every year, hundreds of such short internships are organised throughout the country. Several times a year, Jaarbeurs also invites groups of students to take them on a tour of Jaarbeurs. During a JINC internship, students come into contact with the various fields of work within Jaarbeurs. Each internship is organised by a different duo of employees, ranging from account managers to interns.
A JINC internship at Jaarbeurs consists of, for example, a guided tour through the hall complex, the conference location and maybe even the beautiful Beatrix Theatre. In between the tours, students receive a Jaarbeurs assignment. In previous editions, students made fruit salads or organised their own event.
